Academic Planning

We encourage every student—including our military families—to take part in all that our school has to offer! From strong academics to extracurricular activities, our students thrive in a nurturing community rooted in faith, learning, and service.

Academics

New students are assessed in Reading and Math to ensure placement in the setting best suited for their academic growth.

  • Grade 7 students may take Pre-Algebra or earn high school credit in Algebra I and begin Spanish I.
  • Grade 8 students have the opportunity to earn high school credits in Algebra I or Geometry, and Spanish I.

Our curriculum follows the Consensus Curriculum of the Diocese of Richmond.    All students participate in a well-rounded course of study, including Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Enrichment classes include Technology/Library, Art, Music, PE/Health, Foreign Language, and Marine Science (incorporated into Science classes).

Student Accommodation Plans

For students with special learning needs, we provide individualized support:

  • If your child has (or may need) an IEP, we partner with families and teachers to develop a Student Accommodation Plan (SAP).
  • Support services are clearly noted on report cards, ensuring that accommodations are consistently applied.
  • Each SAP is carefully designed in collaboration with the principal, teachers, parents, and students to meet individual learning needs.
Clubs, Organizations, and Athletics
